Suman/Ibos



Suman

Is a rice cake originating from the Philippines. It is made from glutinous rice or (malagkit) cooked in coconut milk, and often steamed wrapped in buli or buri palm leaves. It is usually eaten sprinkled with sugar. Suman is also known as budbod in the Visayan languages and Ibos in Ilonggo language which dominate the southern half of the country. Suman is serve as a delicacy of the Filipinos and it delicious when serves hot in merienda and partner with a chocolate.
